As if it isn’t hard enough to get your dream job, now it appears fake jobseekers are flooding US companies that are hiring for remote positions, says CNBC news.
Industry experts told CNBC news that these job seekers are using AI tools to fabricate photo IDs, generate employment histories and even provide answers during interviews!
According to research and advisory firm Gartner, the rise in AI-generated profiles will mean that by 2028 one in four job candidates globally will be fake!
And, the fear is once hired the ‘imposter’ can use their position to steal customer data, trade secret and funds and even demand a ransom from the company.
