The UK government’s announcements on the future of post-16 qualifications includes a commitment to increase funding for the Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician qualification to £12,000, up from the previous £8,000.
AAT said the enhancement will support the pipeline of accounting talent and provide skills, including creating financial reports and identifying risks, that are critical to business.
Sarah Beale, AAT’s CEO, added: “The boost to Level 4 funding shows a clear investment in the future of accounting talent and will strengthen qualifications delivery. This increase also recognises the important role that practical and technical accounting skills play in supporting employers and growth for the UK economy as a whole.”
