Just when you think the latest CIMA case study exam pass rates can’t get any better the latest set of stats prove you wrong!
The stand-out case study in November was undoubtedly the Management paper, with a pass rate of 74%. That is a whopping 15% jump on the pass rate achieved at the summer sitting.
The strategic case study pass rate also climbed, and went back up to a much healthier 69% – it was 56% in August.
The only fly in the ointment was the Operational case study pass rate. While still up on the last sitting, it came it at 53% in November. Both the February and March pass rates were higher at 55% and 57% respectively.
CIMA has also released the total exams OT pass rates for the whole of 2020, and here they are: E1 81%; E2 90%; E3 76%; F1 79%; F2 60%; F3 57%; P1 54%; P2 52%; P3 54%.
When compared to the first six months of 2020 the pass rates remain fairly static. The only changes are a rise in the P1 pass rate from 52% to 54%, and a dip in P3 pass rate from 55% to 54%.
Stephen Flatman, Vice President, Examinations, Management Accounting, said: “We are extremely pleased to see that our students have continued to progress with their CIMA studies during the pandemic. Despite challenging circumstances, they have worked hard to familiarise themselves with the new syllabus and achieved great results throughout 2020.
“Since May 2020, all of our exams are available to be taken online offering our students across the world maximum flexibility and convenience throughout the crisis – and beyond. Our students have generally been enthusiastic about remote testing being made available to them, in fact nearly two-thirds of CIMA exams have been taken online so far.
“We will continue to do everything that we can to support our students so they can keep on the front foot of their studies and progress their careers in 2021.”
