Apple shocked the market recently when it announced it was adding OpenAIās ChatGPT to its offering.
The iPhone maker said the move is all part of a new personalised AI system it is calling āApple Intelligenceā, which it hopes will allow users to navigate its devices more easily.
Apple is now updating the operating systems of its iPhone and Macs to allow access to ChatGPT.
Apple CEO Tim Cook said: āOur unique approach combines generative AI with a userās personal context to deliver truly helpful intelligence. This is AI as only Apple can deliver it, and we canāt wait for users to experience what it can do.
One person who does not like the announcement is Elon Musk. He has threatened to ban iPhones form his companies as he said they will become data security risk.
